One of the fascinating pieces of trivia below is true*, the other is false. Do YOU know which is which?
The Black Stallion (1979)
1) The Black was portrayed by a champion Arabian stallion from Texas named Cass-Ole; his friend, the old white horse named Napoleon, was portrayed by Junior – who had previously appeared in National Lampoon’s Animal House as Trooper, Neidermeyer’s horse.
2) This being one of Hoyt Axton’s earliest film roles, he tended to act improperly on set, rudely interrupting the conversations of others, making a mess at craft services, showing up late for filming, etc. The behavior became too much for the rest of the cast and crew, and co-star Mickey Rooney decided to take matters into his own hands. Rooney, an experienced horsemaster, decided to break Axton’s spirit himself. One day, while Axton was walking around in his underwear and eating a corn dog instead of rehearsing, Rooney tied him up and wrestled him to the ground. For three days, every time Axton tried to get up, Rooney would knock him down, all the while subjecting him to mental horrors. Eventually, he saddled Axton and rode him “like the stubbornest of stallions (according to Rooney’s autobiography)” through steep canyons and mighty fiords for an entire week, and there is an unsubstantiated rumor that Rooney had Axton gelded. When the pair eventually returned, Axton was “as docile as a dead ladybug in a church pew (according to Rooney’s autobiography)” and behaved himself impeccably for the duration of filming, although many feel that the breaking of his spirit negatively affected his performance, particularly in his scenes with Rooney, in which you can see Axton visibly shaking and urinating down his leg, despite the best efforts made in editing to cover it up. Axton was never the same, according to his wife and children, and up until his death he ate only oats and slept standing up.

It’s true, you know, I have Axton’s mummified penis in the glove box of my truck. I use it to shoo away Oklahoma State students and alumni.

I heard about this too. Apparently Axton could only run if it was on grass and around a straight track with two bends and shoulder high hedges. He was like that until his death

I exclusively eat corn dogs in my underwear. It’s the only way to live.

You mean you are wearing your underwear and you eat them or you eat them while they’re in your underwear?
