Rocky (1976)

1) In an interview Sylvester Stallone was asked if he and Elvis Presley ever met. Stallone said that in 1976 after “Rocky” was released, Elvis contacted him and asked him to visit Graceland and a bring a copy of the film with him. Stallone told the interviewer that he was too afraid to meet Elvis, and he didn’t go, but he did send a copy of the film. Apparently, Elvis did indeed watch the film with some friends.

2) With a huge appetite and a dislike to wasting food, Stallone kept the huge slab of beef that he pulverized with his fists in the trunk of his car. In fact, on the filming of his next feature, F.I.S.T., he brought and shared the meat with the cast and crew. Fellow co-star, Peter Boyle had extreme food poisoning on the roast beef sandwich he ate from the slab. He still said it was one of the best sandwiches he’s ever had.
