1) During the scene of the finals of Video Armageddon, the last game used for the final, “Super Mario Bros. 3” was actually meant to be revealed in the film before the NES game was released. People were treated to see this particular NES game for the first time when the film was first released into theaters.

2) Fred Savage was cast in his role because at the audition he showed up in full wizard robes and acted like he wasn’t embarrassed after the crew was finally done laughing at him. However, producers began to question their casting decision when Savage cast a Level 5 romance spell on his co-star, Beau Bridges.
