With our intrepid/bloodthirsty Hollywood insider R.O.T.O.R. reporting this morning that Mark Strong may be up for the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie just because he doesn’t have much hair, it reminded me of who I’ve longed to see play Lex Luthor for years, who also doesn’t have much hair, and who would be the most inspired villain casting choice since Strother Martin in Sssssss. I’m speaking of course of Larry David.
Seriously, Larry David is perfect. No. 1, he’s quite bald, so that’s a huge win right there. But what many people don’t realize is that he can be very menacing and intimidating. The following clip is a perfect example of how Larry would portray a menacing Lex Luthor besting his arch-nemesis in a battle of wits. This clip is what got me initially thinking he would make a fantastic Lex Luthor:
Now tell me he’s not a perfect Luthor.
Still not convinced? Don’t think he’s menacing enough? Well this should change your mind:
And he’s not just menacing toward gangster types, he will threaten ordinary citizens with just as much ferocity:
And his intimidation isn’t limited to yelling explosions, he can also subtly tear someone down and find the darkest secrets of their souls:
And you think he can’t get physical?:
Now really, is there any other choice? Oh, let’s cast Kevin Spacey or Mark Strong because he’s so great. Come on, Warner Brothers. Use your bald heads and cast Larry David as Lex Luthor!

Now you’re just being silly,

YES! I support this casting choice whole-heartedly. Any dude who can menace a kid into giving them half of their Halloween candy is clearly capable of great deviousness.
