Revenge of the Nerds (1984)
NEERRRRRRDDDDSS!!!!
I have such fond memories of Revenge of the Nerds. I know exactly where and when I first watched it. Summer of 1985, down in the shore house we rented in Ortley Beach for the summers. I also remember it well since it was the first time I saw bush in a movie.
Still a modern comedy classic and I probably don’t have to remind you all of that. But I just wanted to remind you of the awesome new age music that it gave us like the inimitable Nerds Rap. You’d be a stone-faced liar if you were to admit that you don’t like that song. Even without the hilarious visuals of Lamar and Wormser dressed in Michael Jackson’s Thriller coats, Booger as Elvis and for whatever reason, Takashi dressed in Native American garb banging a gong, you can’t NOT like this musical magnum opus.
I will also include for your listening pleasure the other fine songs from this hilarious movie, all of which should be in your soundtrack collection. I do apologize for the poor YouTube quality of the visuals.
Excellent recollections!

I won’t lie – I loved that song! Still do. But the bush scene wasn’t as memorable for me as it was for you, I think. 😉

And then the follow-up rap in the sequel ruined everything.
