Supposedly, there were plans to make a Space Jam 2 with LeBron James. But LeBron has decided not to be in it because of the awkward sexual tension between him and former lover Yosemite Sam.

Despite no one caring about the movie version of Constantine with Keanu Reeves, DC and Warners are going forward with a TV version and have casted John Constantine with some dude no one ever heard of.

Speaking of superheroes no one gives a hot shit about, NBC is bringing back the canceled Heroes TV show in a 13-episode miniseries next year. Had enough of comic books yet?!

  1. I have nothing bad to say about Heroes; at least the first season. After the writer’s strike when the show returned it turned to crap. As for a new Constantine I am looking forward to it since I wasn’t very pleased with the film.

    • I think Killer Gene wasn’t trying to say that either Constantine nor Heroes are bad. I think he meant that they are unsuitable for future projects. Constantine was only a modest hit in North America and Heroes plummeted so badly in ratings that I don’t think people were dying for a return. This is just a case of “superheroes and comic book stuff” are hot right now and let’s ring out as much water we can from the towel that is very soon going to be thrown in the ring.

      • I never got the impression that was what he was trying to do. I was just tossing in my two cents and I guess I just didn’t make myself clear. I liked Heroes for the most part but even I don’t see the need for a re-boot. As for Constantine I didn’t like the film because I couldn’t understand why they had to make changes to it; i.e. the setting, making him American and even changing his hair color.

        • No I understood where you were coming from. No issues here.

Why is Constantine’s hair color important. This is the second time I read that it was supposed to be blond. Am I missing something here?

          • I never said it was important. I just wonder is Keanu Reeves so vain that he wouldn’t want to change his hair color? Or perhaps maybe the screenwriters are so vain to think they could do better than the source material.

          • You’re right; the hair color alone is not important. I was basically saying that I don’t why the filmmakers felt the need to make so many changes. What was wrong with his being a blond and a Brit? Why was the story set in America and not England? What was the need to have Shia LaBeouf in the movie? If I remember correctly John Constantine didn’t have a ‘sidekick’ in the comics; so why have one in the movie? I’m not trying to argue about this and I really don’t have any more to say about it. Thank you.
