Why This SceneIs the Finest Zsa Zsa Gabor Tribute Available: Zsa Zsa Gabor was sadly cut down in her prime yesterday at a spry 99. She wasn’t exactly the greatest actress of her generation. In fact, she wasn’t really in much of note. Possibly the 1952 Moulin Rouge? Although she was great in Green Acres… oh, that was her sister? Ok, never mind. Anyway, she was pretty much famous for being famous. She was rich and snooty and had a unique dialect. Basically Kim Kardashian with class. I don’t mean to disparage her, I’m sure she was a nice person. Except when she slapped that cop. And eight of her nine husbands probably didn’t have too many kind things to say about her. And also Elke Sommer, whom Zsa Zsa had to pay $3.3 million for libel. But besides all that, her crowning Hollywood achievement came via a short cameo in the third Freddy Krueger movie. “Welcome to prime time, bitch!” is probably the most memorable scene in that picture, but did you know that Zsa Zsa Gabor, queen of glamour, appears on the TV that Jennifer’s head goes through? Yes! I’d argue that it’s the late Ms. Gabor’s best work, but who gives a f@#! what I think? May she rest in peace.
