One of the fascinating pieces of trivia below is true*, the other is false. Do YOU know which is which?
Casino Royale (2006)
1) A promotional leaflet used to promote the film in Japan headlined the “Seven rules to receive 00 status”. The Mi6 Fansite have it translated as: “1) You don’t fear death, and won’t give into torture 2) You have Olympic level shooting skills 3) Even if you double-cross your own parents, you will never double-cross the organization 4) You have knowledge that would surprise even a scholar, and a sense of humor that would make even a bad girl grin 5) You have the sociability of a lamb, but remain a lone wolf 6) You have the highest level of experience with alcohol, gambling, cars and food 7) You can fall in love but you can never love.”
2) Bond’s torture scene as originally written in the script and in Ian Fleming’s novel involved Le Chiffre constantly blasting Bond in the eyes with heated horse urine using a specially made Super Soaker. The scene was changed, however, when producer Barbara Broccoli barged into Daniel Craig’s trailer one day to demand the rent money and caught Craig and costar Mads Mikkelsen fully nude and swinging a knotted rope into each others genitals. “I was shocked at first, but they were giggling like school girls and looked like they were having the time of their lives, so we worked it into the final film,” Broccoli said. The good times escalated further when “Macho Man” Randy Savage then burst into the trailer, also fully nude, and playfully reprimanded the two stars for starting without him. While the finished scene did turn out to be quite memorable, it was nearly unfinished because it took 5 weeks of takes to get it without Mikkelsen tearing his clothes off and laughing and Savage constantly being heard off-camera, yelling that it was his turn. They finally got Mikkelsen to play ball after drugging him with horse urine tranquilizer shots, and they placated the Macho Man by letting him play the role of M (because M has always stood for “Macho”).
